Getting There

Clip ‘n Climb Exeter is conveniently located right in Exeter city centre within the Haven Banks Outdoor Experience building. This sits along the scenic river Exe at Exeter Quay, just off Commercial Road near the docks.

By Car

Those driving can use the Haven Banks car park adjacent to the centre or inner-city car parks just a 5 minute walk away.

On Foot

Due to its central location, Clip ‘n Climb is also extremely easy to reach on foot in Exeter via the pedestrian paths along the Quay. Simply follow signs for Haven Banks from Exeter town centre.

Opening Times and Prices

Clip ‘n Climb Exeter is open 7 days a week, all year round except Christmas Day. Opening times are:

  • Monday – Friday: 10am – 10pm
  • Saturday – Sunday: 9am – 8pm

Each climbing session lasts 2 hours. It’s recommended to book online in advance to guarantee your preferred time slot, especially at weekends and during the holidays. Standard prices are:

  • Kids (4-15 years): £12
  • Adults: £15
  • Students: £14
  • Under 4s: £5

The Climbing Experience

After checking in at reception, you’ll be kitted out with a harness, helmet and safety kit. Trained staff provide a safety briefing and are on hand to assist throughout your session. No climbing experience is necessary. They will look after you as needed!

There are over 40 engaging climbing walls and obstacles providing challenges for every age and skillset:

  • Vertical drops – Abseil down sheer walls.
  • High wires – Balance on beams and ropes suspended above the ground.

Zone and Cafe

After expending energy scaling walls, refuel in the onsite cafe with hot and cold meals, sweet treats and refreshments.

The separate kids’ zone keeps little climbers occupied with games, building bricks and interactive walls while waiting for sessions. Tables and seating areas allow a break for parents.


All climbing gear including harnesses, ropes, helmets and gloves are provided. Non-slip socks are required to be worn, or can be purchased at reception. Lockers, changing rooms and toilets are also available on site.

Expert instructors clearly explain each challenge and are stationed nearby for safety and encouragement. Special accessibility sessions can be pre-booked for those with additional needs.
